WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther has had an impressive run, holding the title for over 500 days and breaking the record previously held by the Honky Tonk Man. His notable title defenses include victories against competitors such as Bronson Reed, Sheamus, Drew McIntyre, and Chad Gable.
However WWE superstar Gunther, is currently facing a significant obstacle. Due to stringent residency regulations in the United States, he is restricted from leaving the country for a period of six months. This limitation, disclosed in a recent interview with Krone, means he will be unable to compete in WWE’s Elimination Chamber event scheduled to take place in Australia next February.
Krone’s report highlighted the situation, stating: “For a duration of half a year, Gunther, known outside the ring as Walter, and residing in Orlando, must remain within the United States borders in compliance with strict residency regulations, confining his performances exclusively to American soil.”
