WWE’s young sensation, Ava, finds herself at a turning point as her alliance in NXT disintegrated over the weekend.
Aged 22 and the daughter of the renowned wrestling and Hollywood star, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson, Ava made her inaugural appearance on WWE television as part of the mysterious faction, Schism, nearly a year ago.
Since her debut on October 25, 2022, Ava has been a regular on NXT. However, things took a turn when the leader of Schism, Joe Gacy, asked the fourth-generation wrestler to leave.
The faction’s dissolution coincides with the departure of The Dyad duo, Jagger Reid and Rip Fowler. Known formerly as James Drake and Zack Gibson of the Grizzled Young Veterans, the pair decided not to renew their WWE contracts.
During the NXT No Mercy broadcast over the weekend, an agitated Gacy was shown lamenting over the destruction of his vision.
‘All I’ve built, everything I stood for, it’s all vanished. There’s no more hope, my teachings, my messages – all mistakes,’ he exclaimed while Ava attempted to console him.

Ava responded, ‘Joe, you’re mistaken. I’m right here, and I believe in you! We knew challenges were ahead,’ but Gacy retorted: ‘No Ava! All is lost! This wasn’t the place for you. Schism is over, just leave!’
A distraught Ava exited, leaving Gacy grappling with his emotions, murmuring, ‘I need to rediscover my mission.’
Ava, who has been part of a select few matches, expressed her feelings on X (previously known as Twitter) by sharing a broken heart emoji and captioning it with ‘goodbye.’ Fans are now intrigued about the next steps for The Rock’s progeny.
