WWE immediately showcased Cody Rhodes to deliver his significant announcement during what has been dubbed as “the most monumental NXT ever.” As one half of the reigning tag team champions, Rhodes kickstarted this week’s show to roaring cheers from the Performance Center audience.
The venue was packed to capacity, with the crowd vociferously supporting “The American Nightmare.”

Turns out, Rhodes had several updates to share, not just the teased announcement.
Firstly, he disclosed that following the women’s breakout tournament, there will be a counterpart for the men.
Next, he confirmed the return of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic.
And as a climax, he announced his role as the guest general manager for the evening. In reaction, Vic Joseph quipped, “Cody Rhodes is in the driver’s seat tonight.”
However, he remained tight-lipped about the specifics of the two previously mentioned tournaments.
