Thea Megan Trinidad Büdgen is an American-Puerto Rican wrestler also known as Zelina Vega to wrestling fans.
Zelina Vega is currently part of the Smackdown brand and works mostly with LWO (Latino World Order), She is a former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion, and the deserved winner of the Queen’s Crown tournament in 2021.
Born in Queens New York, Zelina has had a very accomplished life to date & is still only 33 years of age! Lets take a look at where it all began.
Zelina grew up watching wrestling with her brother & father, idolising wrestlers such as Rey Mysterio & Lita.
At the age of 17, she made her professional wrestling debut under the ring name ‘Divina Fly’ for National Wrestling Superstars (NWS).
After wrestling a few matches, Zelina then went on to wrestle for TNA after being noticed by Tommy Dreamer… Imagine that!
On the February 10 episode of TNA Impact, under the ring name Rosita, debuted as the storyline cousin of Sarita in an eight-woman tag team match, where they teamed with Madison Rayne and Tara to defeat Angelina Love, Mickie James, Velvet Sky and Winter, when Rosita (Zelina Vega) pinned Velvet Sky.
On March 13 at Victory Road, Rosita and Sarita defeated Love and Winter to win the TNA Knockouts Tag Team Championship, her first professional wrestling title.
She then went on to compete in TNA, the independent circuit and a small amount of appearances in WWE/NXT, until her official contract signing in 2017.
Zelina Vega started to appear on NXT more often accompanying Andrade, where she helped him in multiple matches including a win over Drew McIntyre to win the NXT Championship.
At the beginning of 2018 at NXT Takeover during Andrade’ (Known as Almas back then) title defence against Johnny Gargano, Vega interfered and performed a diving hurricanrana on Gargano, resulting in her being attacked by Gargano’s wife, Candice LeRae.
At the following Royal Rumble, Vega made her first main roster appearance as she accompanied Andrade in his entrance as number 7 during the Royal Rumble match.
Zelina Vega then went on to compete in her first televised match in which she was defeated by Candice LeRae. This was the last time that Zelina would make a regular appearance on NXT.
A superstar shake up in WWE was announced with Zelina moving to the Smackdown brand, where she made her in ring debut against Lana, which she went on to win.
Since her WWE debut, Zelina has gone on to become a popular name within the wrestling industry.
