War Games Is Returning To Survivor Series!
There had been whispers that Chief Creative Officer Triple H might feature at least one WarGames match at this year’s Survivor Series. With the event approaching rapidly and less than a month away, fans were awaiting official word from WWE on the matter.
Finally, during the Crown Jewel broadcast on November 4, confirmation was provided:
The War Games concept, which was the brainchild of Dusty Rhodes and consists of a single cage enclosing two rings with staggered participant entries, was first brought into WWE under its NXT banner in 2017. It made its main roster debut during Survivor Series 2023, showcasing a men’s WarGames match (The Bloodline vs. Team Brawling Brutes) as well as a women’s one (Team Belair vs. Team Damage CTRL).
Looking towards this year’s War Games, The Judgment Day appears to be a shoo-in for one of the factions. With reports indicating Roman Reigns will miss the November 25 premium live event (PLE) in Chicago, it’s unlikely The Bloodline will feature. WWE, however, has been fostering several factions and partnerships, providing a plethora of potential adversaries. Although it was under debate whether a women’s WarGames would take place again, the teaser video implies we can expect it.
Are you looking forward to the comeback of The Match Beyond (and all the action leading up to it) on November 25 in Chicago?
