AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy surprised fans by appearing at a UK indie show on Sunday (February 18) and putting his title on the line.
Revolution Pro Wrestling’s High Stakes event at Crystal Palace opened with a multi-man match between Sha Samuels, Flash Morgan Webster, Spike Trivet, Richard Holliday, Cameron Khai, and Shigehiro Irie.

But before the bell rang to start the match, ‘Jane’ by Jefferson Starship played and Orange Cassidy appeared to a huge reception.
He then entered the match, putting his International Championship on the line. He would go on to retain the title after pinning Holliday.
The event was streamed live on RevPro OnDemand.
Following the match, Orange Cassidy, who had been in the UK alongside Swerve Strickland and Darby Allin to promote August’s All In show, took the microphone and delivered his unique brand of hype.
“The reason why I’m here is, I was doing some stuff in a little place called Wembley Stadium and my boss would be very mad at me if I didn’t tell you all to come back on August 25. We’ll be there. Okay bye.”

This isn’t the first time an AEW wrestler has made a surprise appearance at a Rev Pro show. Last August, Chris Jericho attacked Will Ospreay during RevPro Anniversary XI after the latter’s match with Shingo Takagi.
Sunday’s High Stakes show was headlined by Michael Oku successfully defending the RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Title against Ospreay.
The match is Ospreay’s last in the UK before he starts in AEW, where he has already been booked to face Konosuke Takeshita at Revolution on March 3.
