In response to AEW’s upcoming special “Title Tuesday” edition of Dynamite next week, which has been rescheduled due to the MLB Playoffs on TBS on Wednesday, WWE is bolstering the next episode of NXT to compete directly with their adversary. It’s interesting to note that Triple H had earlier stated they didn’t see this “second-tier” promotion as competition and emphasized that NXT would remain a platform for nurturing upcoming talent. Yet, here we stand.
In the recent WWE NXT episode, a star-studded lineup was unveiled for the upcoming show. Icons like John Cena, Cody Rhodes, Paul Heyman, and Asuka are all slated to grace the stage.
John Cena is set to support Carmelo Hayes in his match against Bron Breakker. On the flip side, Paul Heyman will be backing Breakker.
As for Asuka, she’ll be pitted against Roxanne Perez. If Perez emerges victorious, she will challenge Kiana James next.
To top it all off, Cody Rhodes will be sharing a “significant announcement” during the episode.
Here’s a quick glance at what’s in store for the next WWE NXT episode:
- Carmelo Hayes (accompanied by John Cena) vs. Bron Breakker (with Paul Heyman by his side)
- Asuka vs. Roxanne Perez
