There have been a couple of people within the WWE roster who weren’t happy to have CM Punk back onboard and Drew McIntyre was reportedly one of them.
These two eventually got paired up on TV for a heated segment on this week’s Raw. On the latest episode of WWE’s flagship show, Drew McIntyre kicked things off by addressing his loss to World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, last week.
After expressing disappointment, he sounded to be walking away from WWE for a while. CM Punk came face-to-face with Drew McIntyre on Raw.
However, McIntyre soon changed his tone and said he lost due to Damian Priest trying to cash-in the Money in the Bank contract.
He also brought up CM Punk and that maybe he should leave for 9 years too to get some appreciation. CM Punk came out shortly on Raw and he was straight-out bludgeoned by The Scottish Warrior ‘for managing to stay in the WWE for over a month.’ Punk was also blamed for never being a true locker room leader. Punk hit back by saying that McIntyre left the company, came back better, won the Royal Rumble, and main-evented WrestleMania.
He essentially wants to do the same thing, but McIntyre and Seth Rollins have a problem with it.
McIntyre then declared himself to be in the Royal Rumble match and he also vowed to eliminate Punk. With this, a fresh feud has now begun on this week’s Raw which is based on a reported real-life backstage incident.
