WWE recently announced that Fastlane has established new benchmarks in terms of viewership, ticket sales, and sponsorships.
Held on October 7th at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, the event was highlighted by unexpected showings from Pat McAfee and Carlito. The evening kickstarted with Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso joining forces to clinch the Undisputed Tag Team Championships.
Moreover, John Cena collaborated with LA Knight, successfully overpowering The Bloodline.
In a recent statement, WWE celebrated the achievements of the spectacle:
WWE®, a subsidiary of TKO Group Holdings (NYSE: TKO), proudly disclosed that Fastlane, hosted at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, has ascended to become the most-viewed and top-earning Fastlane in its chronicles. This premium live occasion broke all Fastlane records in viewership, ticket sales, and sponsorship domains.
Specifically, Fastlane’s viewership saw a remarkable rise of 71% compared to the previous high in 2021. Furthermore, with tickets selling out, the event witnessed the grandest ticket sales ever for a Fastlane, surpassing the former record in Cleveland in 2016 by over 31%. This also solidified its position as the most lucrative WWE event ever conducted in Indianapolis.
Notably, the sponsorship income for Fastlane escalated by 60% compared to the 2021 record.
Wrestling Showdown on the Horizon: Come October 10th, AEW Dynamite is set to directly compete with NXT, owing to a timeslot shift from its usual Wednesday night due to the MLB Playoffs. Both brands are pulling out all stops, with AEW introducing “Title Tuesday” and NXT featuring stalwarts like John Cena, Paul Heyman, Cody Rhodes, and Asuka.
Hints are also circulating that The Undertaker might grace the WWE event with his presence.
