It was reported that Belair’s hiatus was preplanned, although there was no official announcement regarding her return date.
Dave Meltzer, contributing to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, mentioned that the star is anticipated to rejoin WWE by December at the latest.
In an interview with Metro, Belair shared that she was taking a break for self-care and personal endeavors. “We are working on some personal projects that I am very excited about, related to our future,” she disclosed. Belair mentioned working on a children’s book and revealed that her reality show with husband Ford, titled “The Crawfords” (reflecting their actual family name), is set to premiere on Hulu either late this year or early next. Belair’s return is expected by December as she is listed for Smackdown tapings during that month.
