After being sidelined due to a positive COVID-19 test last week, LA Knight appears poised for a comeback. Last Friday, Fightful revealed that Knight had to exit the building before the SmackDown episode, leading to necessary alterations in the creative aspects of the show, which initially included John Cena and him.
As a consequence of his health status, Knight had to miss a subsequent house show, for which WWE offered refunds to ticket holders. Nonetheless, it seems the wait is over, as Mike Johnson from PWInsider has reported that the acclaimed wrestler is set to make his return in the WWE SmackDown tapings in Sacramento, California, tonight.
The 40-year-old Knight was initially slated to establish his role as John Cena’s tag team partner for the Fastlane premium live event scheduled on October 7. The match is currently set as a handicap match featuring Cena against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. It remains uncertain how WWE plans to reintegrate Knight into the match, and whether this adjustment will occur tonight is still unclear.
In 2023, Knight has achieved megastar status, eliciting some of the most enthusiastic responses from the WWE audience.
