As a consequence of his health status, Knight had to miss a subsequent house show, for which WWE offered refunds to ticket holders. Nonetheless, it seems the wait is over, as Mike Johnson from PWInsider has reported that the acclaimed wrestler is set to make his return in the WWE SmackDown tapings in Sacramento, California, tonight.
The 40-year-old Knight was initially slated to establish his role as John Cena’s tag team partner for the Fastlane premium live event scheduled on October 7. The match is currently set as a handicap match featuring Cena against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa. It remains uncertain how WWE plans to reintegrate Knight into the match, and whether this adjustment will occur tonight is still unclear.
