After months of speculation, WWE fans witnessed the much-anticipated reunion of DIY on the recent episode of Raw.
Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano reunited in dramatic fashion following a gripping Raw main event featuring Ciampa and Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Despite a resilient performance, Ciampa was defeated by Gunther, who used a combination of back-to-back powerbombs and a sleeper hold to subdue him. Just when Ciampa seemed to be regaining control, he faded, leading the referee to end the bout.
Post-match, Gunther’s Imperium allies, Giovanni Vinci and Ludwig Kaiser, descended upon Ciampa, leading to Johnny Gargano making a triumphant return. He swiftly dealt with the Imperium members (Gunther had already retreated backstage) and finished with DIY’s iconic move, Meeting in the Middle, on Vinci.
The reunion of DIY, particularly under the guidance of Triple H, had been a topic of discussion ever since Gargano’s comeback to WWE in August 2022. This marked their first tag team appearance on WWE TV since January 2020.
Gargano’s appearance was another significant highlight, as he had been absent from WWE television for the past five months, last seen in a May battle royal.
