Jade Cargill has officially marked her transition to WWE with a monumental new deal, following her departure from rival All Elite Wrestling (AEW).
The 31-year-old, a former AEW TBS Champion, has inked a multi-year contract with the sports entertainment colossus, signaling high expectations surrounding her entrance given the ensuing buzz.
WWE proclaimed in a statement: ‘Cargill, a distinguished performer acclaimed in the industry, commences her training today at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.’
Triple H, alias Paul Levesque, lauded the burgeoning star as a transformative figure in the wrestling sphere. The Chief Content Officer expressed on X (formerly Twitter): ‘A dominant athlete who’s here to change the game… Join me in welcoming the newest @WWE Superstar, @Jade_Cargill, to the @WWEUniverse.’
Currently, it remains uncertain whether Cargill will initiate her journey in the developmental brand NXT, or make an immediate leap to the main roster on Raw or SmackDown.
This significant transition comes amid ample speculation regarding her future, especially after the former TBS Champion – the inaugural holder of the title with a record 508-day reign for any AEW championship – concluded her stint with AEW earlier this month.
Cargill made a notable return on AEW Collision earlier this month, orchestrating a match with TBS Champion Kris Statlander on the September 15 episode of AEW Rampage. The bout, recorded during the September 13 tapings, saw her adhere to the long-standing wrestling tradition of ‘doing the honours’ upon exiting a company.
With this new chapter, limitless possibilities and potential marquee matchups with stars like Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Bianca Belair, and Tiffany Stratton are on the horizon, and fans are voicing their enthusiasm for her future prospects.
