WWE Hall of Famer, Hulk Hogan, recently had a chat with Chris Van Vilet, reflecting on WrestleMania 39. Hogan shared that he had discussions with Shane McMahon about a potential role at the event, possibly involving his son, Nick Hogan.
Hogan recalled, “Shane reached out with a photo of him at Madison Square Garden’s hall of fame walk, standing by my memorabilia. He teased, ‘Hey old timer, think you’ve got another match in you?’ That led to us discussing possibilities. Given my physical constraints, any role would have to be limited. I can’t run, hit the ropes, or even walk long distances. I can only get up in a specific manner. However, Nick had trained with Rikishi for a while and had been in the ring with the likes of Rusev. He showed potential before his shoulder injuries. We toyed with the idea of a storyline where Nick blames Shane for ruining my career, but then Shane had an injury issue.”
Contrary to Hogan’s statements, Fightful Select has debunked this narrative, stating that there were never any plans for Hogan or Nick to be a part of WrestleMania 39. Moreover, according to their source, Nick Hogan’s involvement with WWE hasn’t been a topic of discussion in over a decade. The insider noted, “While Shane has proposed some unconventional ideas in the past, this wasn’t one of them.”
