In a recent episode of WWE Raw, the official announcement was made that John Cena is set to face off against Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa in a handicap match.
Initially, Cena was slated to join forces with AJ Styles for this confrontation at Fastlane. However, a sudden twist occurred when Styles was ambushed by Sikoa and Uso during the SmackDown episode on September 22nd. The fierce attack led to Styles being immediately hospitalized, rendering him unable to finalize the match contract. Consequently, Cena was left without a tag team partner for the upcoming Fastlane premium live event.
This encounter is particularly noteworthy for Cena, marking his inaugural participation in a premium live event outside of WrestleMania/SummerSlam since 2018. Previously, Cena had partnered with Bobby Lashley to compete against Kevin Owens and Elias at WWE Super Showdown.
Fastlane is scheduled for October 7th in Indianapolis. The event promises not only the anticipated match between Cena, Uso, and Sikoa but also several other yet-to-be-announced bouts. One confirmed match features Seth Rollins taking on Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
