Early Projections for WWE WarGames Showdowns at Survivor Series 2023

The grandeur of Survivor Series, a cornerstone WWE event since 1987, is expected to peak this year with two anticipated WarGames matches.

Promising intense action, the forthcoming WarGames bouts feature the best from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT. As the various narratives and rivalries reach their zenith, these encounters promise epic entertainment.

Here’s a sneak peek into the potential WarGames clashes at Survivor Series 2023:

Team Judgment Day vs. The Alliance of Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn

Even though the event is still some time away, the stage is already being set for an electrifying men’s WarGames match. Team Judgment Day has ruffled many feathers on the main roster, but their opponents for this match are clear.

Opposing Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh— (also anticipate Rhea Ripley in the women’s WarGames match)—are WWE favorites: Cody Rhodes, Jey Uso, Kevin Owens, and Sami Zayn.

Team Judgment Day, especially with the polarizing presence of Mysterio, draws unparalleled reactions from fans. To counter this, Triple H and his team are pitting them against universally loved superstars. The duo of Rhodes and Uso makes narrative sense, while Owens and Zayn provide the bout the limelight it needs.

What remains to be seen is how the narrative will be maintained leading up to the climactic WarGames match at Survivor Series.

Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT Showdown

The women’s WarGames match presents an ideal stage for the debut of the heavily hyped Jade Cargill. The challenge lies in maintaining her momentum till the event.

She could stay relevant with a mix of behind-the-scenes training sessions and powerful promos, building up the suspense. The dream match? A three-branded WarGames showdown with teams from Raw, SmackDown, and NXT.

Team Raw might feature the duo of Rhea Ripley and Nia Jax, potentially joining forces with Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler. SmackDown’s team, with a blend of talents like Iyo Sky, Bayley, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka, promises fireworks, especially given the existing rivalries.

Team NXT could surprise with the likes of Becky Lynch, Roxanne Perez, Tiffany Stratton, and Thea Hail. With Cargill’s absence, fans would be on the edge. Imagine the reaction when Cargill ambushes Hail backstage, stepping into the spotlight and leading her team to victory.

If Cargill’s debut culminates in a face-off with Lynch, it’s a guaranteed recipe for success.
