Current NXT Tag Team Champion, Bron Breakker is officially a WWE SmackDown Superstar.
The former two-time NXT Champion put pen to paper to join the roster after weeks of speculation he was main roster bound after making an impressive appearance in this year’s men’s Royal Rumble match.
Breakker made his Royal Rumble debut reportedly taking Brock Lesnar’s spot and establishing himself as big time player by eliminating four opponents and having a face off with the Nigerian Giant, Omos.
Following his Rumble appearance both Adam Pierce and Nick Aldis openly vied for his signature to join their respective brands. But before he committed to either brand he celebrated becoming the NXT Tag Team Champion.
Breakker, alongside Baron Corbin, defeated Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams at NXT Vengeance Day to win the 2024 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic tournament. As winners of the competition, the duo went on to beat The Family for the titles.
Bron Breakker joins fellow NXT stars on the WWE main roster
The second generation superstar is one of several NXT stars who have recently joined the main roster. Former Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton became a member of the SmackDown roster and wasted little time in establishing herself as a force to be reckoned with by beating Zelina Vega to qualify for the Women’s Elimination Chamber in Perth.
Speaking of the Elimination Chamber, both Kevin Owens and Logan Paul qualified for the men’s version of the match. The stars now join Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, LA Knight and Bobby Lashley to fight for the chance to face Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XL.
