Backstage Update On Matt Cardona After AEW Appearance

Matt Cardona made a surprise return on Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision, accepting Adam Copeland’s open challenge for the TNT Championship.

Fightful Select is reporting that Cardona is still a free agent and has not signed with AEW.

Matt Cardona’s appearance was put together earlier this week. He was scheduled to defend the Squared Circle Expo Title tonight against Ultimo Dragon.

However, Cardona dropped his title to Nic Nemeth on Friday night at a Black Label Pro event. This allowed him to travel to Canada for AEW Collision.

The crowd roared once his music hit, he is a very popular character on social media.
