The latest update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter indicates that Cargill is likely to join WWE’s main roster rather than being assigned to the “WWE NXT” brand. Furthermore, her name has been a topic of conversation within the Stamford, Connecticut-based promotion, suggesting substantial interest in her talents.
On the September 9 episode of “AEW Collision,” Cargill made her first appearance in AEW since losing the AEW TBS Championship to Kris Statlander at AEW Double or Nothing 2023. In a dramatic turn of events, the 31-year-old immediately set her sights on Statlander, leading to a TBS title showdown on the recent episode of “AEW Rampage,” where she ultimately faced defeat. Following this bout, Cargill and Statlander shared a sportsmanlike moment, shaking hands and embracing in the center of the ring.
Jade Cargill, who previously revealed she turned down WWE following a tryout at the WWE Performance Center in April 2019, made her debut for Tony Khan’s promotion in November 2020. In January 2022, she achieved the milestone of becoming the inaugural AEW TBS Champion and held the championship for an impressive 508 days.
