After recent speculation around her future, former CMLL Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has officially signed with WWE and is already training in the performance center.
The news was tweeted out by Shawn Michaels and welcomed Vaquer to the WWE family.
Earlier today it was announced that Vaquer had left both the CMLL and NJPW rosters and had dropped both the CMLL World Women’s Championship and CMLL World Women’s Tag Team Championships. Vaquer had tweeted out her graces towards both promotions.
Her most recent high-profile match was against Mercedes Moné at AEW x NJPW’s Forbidden Door, where she lost the NJPW Strong Women’s Championship at the pay-per-view.
A new CMLL Women’s World Champion was crowned at Fantastica Mania as Viva Van, Willow Nightingale, and Lluvia faced off for the title.
Willow Nightingale is the new CMLL Women’s World Champ.
