Biography

Born as Adam Joseph Copeland on October 30, 1973, in Orangeville, Ontario, Canada, Edge is one of the most decorated and influential superstars in the history of WWE.

Career History and Evolution

Edge’s career began in the 1990s, wrestling in various U.S. and Canadian independent promotions. He signed with WWE in 1997 and, after a year in developmental territories, made his television debut in 1998. Known for his high-flying, risk-taking style, Edge quickly became a fan favorite.
Throughout his career, Edge has been a part of some iconic storylines and rivalries. His career evolved with a heel turn, forming the tag team “Edge and Christian” with his real-life best friend, Jay Reso. He became known as the “Ultimate Opportunist” for his crafty and cunning ways of winning titles.
After a successful run as a tag team and solo wrestler, Edge was forced to retire in 2011 due to cervical spinal stenosis. However, in a miraculous return, Edge came back to in-ring action in 2020.
