In an unexpected development, Adam Cole, a notable star in All Elite Wrestling (AEW), has recently undergone surgery due to a significant ankle injury.

This setback, which occurred during AEW Dynamite Grand Slam 2023, has sparked widespread concern in the wrestling world.

At the AEW Dynamite Grand Slam event on September 20, Adam Cole faced an unfortunate incident. In an attempt to assist MJF during the AEW World Championship main event against Samoa Joe, Cole suffered a broken ankle.

This wasn’t just a typical sprain; the extent of the damage meant Cole needed two separate surgeries for a complete recovery. Recounting the incident, Cole conveyed it was the most agonizing injury he’s ever faced.

Despite the setback, Cole’s involvement on AEW broadcasts remains steady. He continues to be an active presence, particularly in segments alongside Roderick Strong.

His most recent in-ring performance was at the All Out spectacle, partnering with MJF to uphold the ROH tag championship against challengers Alex Reynolds and John Silver.
